In making a film, your life will be greatly simplified if you know a number of basic knots. A few fundamental knots can be useful for everything from transportation to steadying equipment. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen camera operators secure expensive camera equipment with knots and lashings that I wouldn’t trust to anchor a bag full of garbage.
