On-set Box

Applications

For the art department, a well-stocked “on-set box” is critical when going on location. Depending on the size of the shoot, sometimes more than one is needed. An on-set box contains all the supplies and materials for modifying, patching, taping, gluing, or maintaining the sets or props. It should contain all the items you may need at a moment’s notice. The better organized your on-set box is kept, the more useful it will be to you.

In this chapter, I’ve described the most common items I keep in my on-set box. This list is by no means exhaustive and will change depending on the type of film (drama, comedy, sci-fi, etc.) ...
