Summary

In this chapter, you met the five core Office programs that this book covers—Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Outlook—and learned which types of tasks they're designed for. You now know how to launch and close the programs; identify their main features, such as the Ribbon and the Quick Access toolbar; and create, save, close, and reopen files.

In the next chapter, I'll show you how to use the Ribbon, Backstage view, and other common tools.
