5.7. Sending E-mail to Lists

So far in this chapter, I demonstrated several ways to use Outlook to connect to various lists and libraries in SharePoint. You also saw that SharePoint can send e-mail messages when someone adds items to a list, changes items in a list, or deletes items from a list. However, you can also send e-mail messages to groups of SharePoint users as well as several of SharePoint's lists.
