The Range Object

The Range object represents a section of a document. It is defined by the starting and ending characters and can have any size from empty to the entire document. As mentioned in the previous section, the Range object is very much like the Selection object. In fact, many properties and methods are shared by these objects, as indicated by the asterisks in Tables 5.1 and 5.2 on the previous pages.
