In most cases, tsunamis are caused by undersea earthquakes, and both of these will cause serious disasters, causing great harm to offshore oil engineering. In offshore oil engineering, these two factors should be taken under consideration for things such as planning shore base and oil terminals, prefabrication and placement of offshore oil engineering structures, design of engineering structures, and ensuring both the smooth offshore construction of engineering structures and safe operation during the service period. Therefore, we will introduce both tsunamis and earthquakes in a single section here.
