3.4. Natural Gas Processing in Offshore Gas Wells
Natural gas produced from the marine gas wells usually contains the solid impurities, such as the sand, cuttings, liquid (the water, gas, condensate, etc.) and gas (the water vapor, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide). The solid impurities may result in the attrition and jam of the pipeline and equipment. The water vapor may reduce the delivery capacity of the pipeline, when the water vapor in the natural gas is separated out in the form of liquid water, ice, or natural gas solid hydrate, and also can increase the tube pressure drop in the pipeline, or even block the pipe. In addition, the dissolving of the gas condensate in the gas in the water, as well as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and other ...
