The multifunctional floating platform for LNG production is called the FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas) system in foreign countries. With the help of single point mooring positioning system, the platform is fixed on operation waters, and is equipped with liquefaction devices that are equivalent to having a onshore liquefaction plant on board. However, the deck area is only 1/4 that of an onshore liquefaction plant, so the liquefaction process must be conducted in an orderly and efficient manner.
