Safety System Engineering for Offshore Oil
Abstract
Under the theory of safety system engineering, this chapter elaborates and summarizes theories, methodologies and practices of safety activities in offshore engineering. Four sections are divided. First section introduces structure reliability of offshore construction and equipment. After expounding of structure reliability theory, two examples are given –– ① reliability analysis for petroleum steel construction in ice region; ② and the fuzzy reliability analysis of submarine pipeline. The second section focuses on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) that’s a useful method widely applied in analysis of safety and reliability. The FTA of submarine pipeline is discussed as a typical case in this ...
