The “score” of an OKR is the numerical representation of progress you’ve made, typically recorded on scale of 0.0 to 1.0. OKR scores are vital because they delineate performance, informing you whether you’ve crushed your goals, achieved just so-so outcomes, or missed the mark entirely.

After you’ve tabulated scores for your OKRs, you’ll want to record them somewhere, and that somewhere could be a Google sheet or doc, an Excel spreadsheet, a PowerPoint document, or a gigantic, triangle-shaped rolling board with numbers affixed to all sides (yes, I’ve seen it). If those “old school” methods aren’t for you, perhaps you’ll want to invest in one of the many dedicated OKRs software platforms whose functionality and ease of use never cease to amaze me.
