Because the people in our organization were diverse in professions, work styles, ages and income levels, I had my work cut out for me. I found I truly had to listen carefully in order to learn more about them and how they could best benefit our clients. I also knew I must be diligent in understanding their reasons for helping and their preferred way of accomplishing tasks.
