If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it’s how much more the world is interconnected. This chapter deals with learners who live in other countries and study online. Some of these learners are US citizens who live abroad, for either work or travel purposes, and take online classes. Other learners are international students who seek the advantages an online education will give them. You can find many opportunities to learn online, and not all of them are within the United States.
Setting the Stage for Global Learning
This news might surprise you, but the US accounts for only 5% of the world’s population. At the same time, it ranks at the top for having companies in the Global 500 in 2018 and 2019, according to Fortune magazine. The Global 500 represents companies from around the world that produce the highest revenues. Most of these companies have offices throughout the world.
