Abstract
Online social networking security is the topic of this abstract. Users deal with identity theft, cyberbullying, and privacy violations. In order to combat false information, bogus accounts, and data breaches, platforms use fact-checking collaborations and algorithms. Concerns are exacerbated by newly emerging hazards like deepfakes, and material created by AI (Artificial Intelligence). For an online social networking environment to be safer, collaborative multidisciplinary solutions are essential. Phone accounts: The prevalence of fraudulent accounts on social media platforms erodes confidence and can be exploited to disseminate false information, fraudulent schemes, and malevolent actions. In this chapter, instances of misinformation are presented. Via social media, false information may travel quickly and affect public opinion, confusion, and even elections.
