Abstract
Virtual reality (VR) is, as everyone knows, a computer-generated environment that makes the user feel as though they are fully involved in their surroundings. Furthermore, the main goal of digital information technology is to convert data into information and vice versa. Digital information technology is also used to send data and information in the form of images, words, sounds, and videos. Digital information technology includes the study and use of databases, the internet, spreadsheets, presentation software, email management, word processing, document editing, HTML, web page design, and the integration of these tools using industry-standard software. Virtual reality (VR) and digital information technology (DIT) have combined in recent years to create new avenues for immersive and interactive experiences across a range of industries. This chapter highlights the combined implications of VR and DIT on many economic areas, like entertainment, education, and healthcare, while providing a basic overview of their integration.
