The choice of a Web CMS can be a difficult process with so many products and features to consider.

Establish Goals

First, establish your needs. Specify practical goals. List the problems that have prompted a look at CMSs. Then list the problems that you hope a system will solve. If you have quantitative goals, specify them as well. For example, your goal may be the effective use of your technical personnel who are better trained to code than to edit copy for the marketing department.
