Discovery Without a seedfile

What? You don’t want to define a seedfile at all? You want to start up NNM and let it start discovery without one? What is the management domain in this case? It’s the local subnet on which the NNM system is located. Discovery will use the routing table, interface table, and ARP cache of the NNM system. The routing table will suggest local routers. The interface table will suggest local subnets, so there may in fact be multiple subnets in the initial management domain. The ARP cache will provide a list of IP addresses as candidates for autodiscovery.
