Introduction

On a good day, the network behaves as intended. All router and switch interfaces are operational, no server is down, printers have a full supply of paper and toner, no configuration errors exist anywhere, no new devices have been detected, every network link is operating well below maximum capacity, and there are zero data errors detected.
