Who Are the Keepers of the Maps?

NNM maps are a set of files that are collectively assigned consistent file system permissions that correspond to map permissions. This means that maps have independent read and write permissions plus owner and group names associated with them. The owner of the map is the keeper of the map and has read/write permissions for it. Production maps are intended for general read-only use so the map owner is the designated map builder. For large networks, keeping maps customized is a major responsibility, and it’s usually assigned to a dedicated map builder.
