Author Biography

John Blommers is a 16-year veteran with Hewlett–Packard Consulting who has had the pleasure of recommending, developing, and implementing HP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) as a network management solution for HP customers. He began working with NNM in the version 1.0 days when the application was called xnm. He’s installed it at dozens of HP customer sites and taught the HP customer training.

The author’s background is strong in the networking and UNIX arenas. As a network consultant, he designs, audits, and troubleshoots customer networks. For new networks or application upgrades, he develops network capacity plans with the aid of simulation technology, with over a dozen to his credit in the past few years.
