Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi has been Director of the Dr B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, India since 10 October 2016. He is a distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Hamirpur, Himachal, India. He has 30 years of teaching and research experience. He is a founder member of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at NIT Hamirpur. He has been instrumental in starting BTech, two MTech and PhD programmes at NIT Hamirpur.
