The clock recovery device provides the timing signal for the optical gate. In
Sections 6.3, 6.4, and 6.5 we discuss the OTDM transmitter, the OTDM receiver,

Laboratory systems are frequently simplified as follows (Figure 6.1, lower
part): on the transmitter side, only one modulator is used and combined with the
