A Cloud data center is a distributed network within the Cloud structure, which is made up of computing nodes (such as servers), the storage node, and network devices. Each node device is formed by a series of resources such as CPU, memory, and networking. Each resource has its corresponding properties, such as memory size and CPU rate. There are many different types of resources for Cloud providers; this chapter focuses on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
