Abstract
Traffic control mechanisms are always an intensive discussion domain, but due to cutting-edge innovations like sensory computing and machine analytics, intelligent traffic monitoring remains a high priority. Most traffic prediction techniques focus on urban and highway traffic. There is less research on collector roads and closed campuses, which have lower traffic volumes but can still experience congestion. This research paper proposes models for Traffic Lighting System, Smart Parking System and Vehicle Theft Detection System using IoT. Smart traffic lights can use a realistic traffic tracking model to dynamically adjust traffic signals based on traffic density. In smart parking an IoT module is deployed on-site to monitor the availability of individual parking spaces. This module collects data on the availability of each individual parking space. By improving the efficiency of the parking facility, smart parking systems can enhance the overall parking experience for drivers. In vehicle theft detection systems, as soon as the vehicle is stolen or moved without the owner’s knowledge, the system provides security by sending the exact location of the vehicle. The system consists of a sensor like a camera (in case of traffic lighting system), PIR motion sensor ...
