Once you understand how virtualization takes up CPU resources and carves them up and distributes their use among many different machines, you come to realize the advantage of virtualization. Just make sure the hypervisor you choose has been built to make the best use of vCPUs and hyperthreading. Virtualization changes everything, including how VMs perform. You need to monitor your hypervisors and VMs to assess how they are performing. In the next chapter, we will discuss monitoring.
