Performance efficiency is the third pillar of the Well-Architected Framework (WAF). It refers to the ability of your solution to meet the business needs and demands placed on it by the consumers in an efficient way. In on-premises, we implement oversized servers or virtual machines (VMs) to manage unexpected load and demand. But in the cloud, this approach is not feasible; the main reason for that is the cost.
