New Features in Oracle Database 10g Release 2

Oracle Database 10g Release 2 collects additional statistics as compared to Release 1. AWR now includes a collection of streams-specific performance data in a set of tables prefixed by WRH$STREAMS_ to assist in detecting streams-related issues. As well, additional information is collected in order to determine the efficacy and usage of SQL tuning sets. Other changes include a new AWR table named WRH$_COMP_IOSTAT that seems to catergorize and record different types of I/O.
