APPENDIX BSQL Functions
This Appendix Contains an alphabetic listing of all of the SQL functions available within Discoverer. Each function is listed with its correct syntax, an explanation of its purpose or use, and the Discoverer folder in which you will find the function. For most functions, we will give you examples. We also explain in depth how to use the wildcard characters within Discoverer and give you an overview of how to use analytic functions.
We will give you a complete listing of all the format masks that can be applied to functions. Finally, we will give you a listing of the standard American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) character set.
