The Oracle Virtual Machine (OVM) is the product that acts as the cornerstone for all Oracle Fusion Middleware virtualization capabilities. The core component of OVM consists of a hypervisor that is installed on a physical machine instead of a platform operating system. The hypervisor is the runtime environment for virtual machine instances. It manages the physical machine’s hardware resources and exposes them to all running virtual machine instances as virtual hardware resources according to their required specifications.
