Creating the Single-Node Topology

This section outlines the steps required for the creation of an environment to which the components of the pricing application can be deployed. This topology is referred to as a “single-node topology” because it does not include any cluster and no elements of it are replicated for reliability, scalability, or availability purposes. In the next section of this chapter we extend a part of this topology with a cluster in order to achieve scalability for certain elements of the application. Figure 8-2 shows the target topology we are aiming to create in this section.
