Configure Node Manager

Node Manager is a utility in Oracle WebLogic server which can start, stop, and restart Managed server or Administration server remotely. When Admin Server/Managed server are managed using Node Manager, and if the OS instance is rebooted, WebLogic server (Admin or Managed) returns to the state it was in, prior to reboot (started or stopped). In order for Node Manager to start Managed servers properly, follow these steps:

  1. Define Machine for all Managed servers.

    Login to WebLogic server console (http://serverName:AdminPort where default Admin server port is 7001) and check if Machine is defined or not (If not define a Machine) by clicking on Machines and then the New button:
