Data sources

OAM uses the following data sources:

  • User Identity store
  • OAM policy and session data store
  • OAM configuration data store
  • Security key and Java key store

User Identity store

The User Identity store is a centralized LDAP store in which user data and administrators are stored. By default, (UserIdentityStore1) for OAM is an embedded LDAP server which comes as part of WebLogic server. This default User Identity store is created by the installer during OAM server installation.

Note

WebLogic server provides an embedded LDAP server to store WebLogic's users and groups. This is not recommended as OAM's identity store in a production environment; instead, use an enterprise-level embedded LDAP server such as OID, IBM Directory server, or Microsoft Active ...
