INFILE CLAUSE

INFILE | INDDN filename|* [os_specific_options]
   [BADFILE | BADDN bad_filename]
   [DISCARDFILE | DISCARDDN discard_filename]
   [DISCARDS | DISCARDMAX discardmax]
   [FIELDS TERMINATED BY character]

Specifies the file containing the data to be loaded.

The BADDN, INDDN, and DISCARDDN keywords are provided for compatibility with DB2 syntax. Each INFILE can have its own bad file and discard file, as well as its own limit on the number of discards. If you omit the BADFILE or DISCARDFILE parameter and the job requires one, SQL*Loader will create a file with the name of the INFILE and either the .bad or .dis extension.
