Specifies that a backup or copy is considered exempt from a specified retention policy.

Keywords

UNTIL TIME 'date_string'

Specifies that the backup or copy should be kept until the specified date.

FOREVER

Specifies that the backup will be kept indefinitely. This requires the use of a recovery catalog because the backup or copy will never expire.

LOGS

Keeps all archived redo log files associated with a backup or copy.

NOLOGS

Specifies that archived redo log files associated with a backup or copy will not be kept. Consequently, the database can be restored only to the point in time when the backup or copy was made.
