Managing the assignment of tasks

There is often a requirement to reassign tasks; maybe the task approver is about to go on leave themselves. Before they go, they may want to reassign all uncompleted tasks so they can be dealt with by someone else while they are away.

Alternatively, the individual may have already gone on leave (or be indisposed for some other reason) with a series of tasks already on their queue, which their manager may need to reassign to someone else.

Depending on a user's privileges and whether they are a manager, the worklist application provides a number of methods for either reassigning, delegating, or escalating tasks. We will examine these in detail below.
