As a multiuser operating system, Linux limits the number of file descriptors available to each user, with a default of
1024. As all access to files, sockets, threads, and others requires file descriptors, this limit is too low for a production SOA Suite application. Increasing the limit improves performance and stability.
You will need
root access to the Linux server on which SOA Suite is installed for this recipe.
To increase the number of file descriptors in Linux, perform the following steps:
1024by using the following command:
$ ulimit –n 1024
