Chapter 6. Equijoins

So far, you have written SQL statements against a single table. In this chapter you will learn about joining tables, one of the most important aspects of the SQL language. The equijoin is by far the most common form of join and it allows you to connect two or more tables. Equijoins are based on equality of values in one or more columns. You will learn about other types of joins in Chapter 9, “Complex Joins.”
