Before recording a simulation, you should always plan out exactly what you want to record. This will save you the need to insert missing screenshots later, or re-record the exercise, because you forgot to capture a particular screen and/or action.
Bear in mind that the actual recording is only one step in the process of producing an effective simulation. It is worthwhile remembering the term PREP:
