Consuming portlets at design time

Once you have registered a producer, you can start consuming portlets. When using portlets at design time, you can just drag and drop the portlet on a JSPX page.

By using portlets at design time, you have the ability to use portlets as reusable modules. The difference between using regular modules or taskflows and portlets is that you can stick to a standard. You are not bound to the framework. You also can make use of the personalization functionality of portlets without needing a complete portal environment.
