Wiring two portlets together at design time

Interoperability is very important in modern portals. This is a feature that is not possible with the JSR168 standard. That's one of the reasons why the Java community came up with a new portlet standard: JSR286 or the portlet 2.0 standard. This new standard described how you can create portlets that have the possibility to communicate with each other.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter application with a producer registered that has at least two portlets that are prepared for inter-portlet-communication.
