Referencing a navigation model

When you have multiple and complex navigation models, it can come in handy to have special navigation models that will be included in other models. This improves the reusability of navigation models.

Adding navigation models to a navigation model will only include a pointer to an existing model. This way when the referenced model changes, the changes will also be shown in the models that use the changed model and thus helps reuse the model.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter portal application.

How to do it...

First we will create a new navigation model that will be referenced in the default model:

  1. In JDeveloper, press Ctrl + N to open to New Gallery.
