Adding a component to a navigation model

You can also add components to your navigation models. These components will be shown on a full page. This can be useful when you develop custom ADF Faces components. For example, when you have a calendar component. This can be useful to show the component as a link so that it will show up on an empty page.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter portal application.

How to do it...

  1. Open default-navigation-mode.xml from Web Content/oracle/Webcenter/portalapp/navigations.
  2. Press the Add button and select Component from the context menu.
  3. Specify an id for the component. The id should be unique for each resource over the navigation model.
  4. Specify a Component factory. You can use oracle.adf.rc.component.XmlComponentFactory ...
