Adding a custom folder to a navigation model

A custom folder is a folder where the content will be populated during runtime. You need to provide a context factory that is responsible for populating the content. Depending on the factory, you can have additional parameters. Each context factory should implement the oracle.adf.rc.component.ComponentFactory interface.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter portal application.

How to do it...

  1. Open default-navigation-mode.xml from Web Content/oracle/Webcenter/portalapp/navigations.
  2. Press the Add button and select Custom folder from the context menu.
  3. Specify an id for the custom folder. The id should be unique for each resource over the navigation model.
