Adding discussion forums to your portal

The discussion service has lots of taskflows for you to use, but the most important is the Discussion Forums. It is the taskflow that contains the most functionality and allows your users to create and view topics.

This taskflow is not added to the default resource catalog when you create a WebCenter portal, so that's why we will add this first.

As a second task, we will add the Discussion Forums taskflow to a page at runtime.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter portal application with a connection to the discussion service.

How to do it...

Before you can add the taskflow to a page, we first need to add it to the resource catalog:
