Integrating external content with the WebClipping portlet

By using the WebClipping portlet, you are able to integrate external content from sites you do not control. For example you want to integrate a page from Amazon that shows some products. You only want to show the list, not all the menus or left and right sidebars, so an iframe is just not possible.

This is where the WebClipping comes into play. It allows you to clip specific regions from a webpage so you can integrate it in your portal.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter Portal application where you have registered the WebClipping portlet. The recipe on how to register the WebClipping portlet can be found in the previous recipe.
