Using Oracle Identity Directory as an identity store

By default, when you install WebCenter on a WebLogic domain, it will use the embedded LDAP of the WebLogic server as an identity store. You will most likely have an existing LDAP server, OAM, OID, or AD, and you will want to use that identity store in your portal.

In WebLogic, you can create authentication providers, which can be any type of LDAP. For some identity stores, Oracle has specific providers for OID and Microsoft Active Directory.

In this recipe, I will show you how you can configure an existing OID as the identity store.
