Registering a WebCenter Portal application to the Analytics collector

By default, no data from your application gets collected. In order to use WebCenter Analytics, you need to tell the collector that it needs to listen to your application and start storing the data.

This is one of the few things that you cannot do in JDeveloper. You can only register a fully deployed WebCenter Portal application to the collector.

Tip

This recipe can be used for both WebCenter Portal applications as for WebCenter Spaces.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter domain running on a WebLogic server and at least a single WebCenter Portal application deployed to it.
