Creating a connection to the activities schema in JDeveloper

When you want to show reports from WebCenter Analytics, you need to create a connection to the proper schema. This schema should have been created when you run the RCU during the install of WebCenter.

Once the connection has been created in JDeveloper you can start adding the analytics taskflows to your page.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need a WebCenter Portal application.

How to do it

  1. In the Application Resource right click the Connections folder.
  2. Select New Connection and Database.
  3. Give your connection a name.
  4. Specify the Username to your activity schema that has been created by the RCU.
  5. Specify the Password for the activity schema.
  6. Specify the Host Name and SID or Service Name.
