It goes without saying that the basic element of any organizational system is the individual person. It is individuals that perform functions at a micro-level, work together in teams towards common goals, come up with new ideas and innovations, make decisions on how to allocate scarce resources, and inspire others and lead. Organizing for resilience, then, needs to appreciate how the concept of resilience at an individual level is understood, researched and debated.
