Apple’s App Store combines the convenience of an online shopping service with the ease of use of an OS X application. The result: a system that makes it easier than ever to find, buy, install, and update OS X applications on your computer.
The App Store, which works with your Apple ID, automatically maintains a list of the software you’ve purchased, so it’s easy to download and reinstall if necessary. It also notifies you of updates to Apple software and other software you’ve purchased through the App Store so you can obtain and install those updates as soon as they become available.
