Setting Safari Preferences

You can set lots of preferences for Safari. The key ones are explained in this section. To go to the Preferences dialog box, choose Safari⇒Preferences or press Command Key+, (comma). It has ten panes: General, Bookmarks, Tabs, AutoFill, Passwords, Security, Privacy, Notification, Extensions, and Advanced.

New Feature

New panes in Safari 6.0's Preferences dialog box are Passwords and Notifications. Gone are the Appearance and RSS panes from previous versions.

The General pane and the Security pane, both shown in Figure 17.9, have many of the critical preferences.
